Recessed trims are mounted to recessed housings using these coil springs. One pair of springs is needed per trim and housing. To attach, hook one end of the spring coil to the trim and the other end to the clip inside the housing, or to the mounting plate or bracket. If your housing does not have a hook point for the spring, you can use universal mounting clips that slip onto the housing edge and provide a mounting mechanism for the coil springs.
